could it be that Abdul Aziz Ahmed you referred too is the one residing in Glasgow, with the family name of Frederickes?
(you could delete the comment later if you want but I would be interested to know the answer. Barakallahu fik.)

Ah, Abdul Aziz al-Ahmed the qari.
Abdul Aziz Ahmed Frederickes, qaddasallahu sirruhu, is my teacher and a dear friend, who taught me things while I was in the UK. When I wanted to get married, he took the qabul on my behalf - muwakalah. I thought you might have met him during one of his daurah, perhaps in Birm, and interested to benefit from his audio recording. He is of Malay descent, from the line of the exiled Qadhi of Ternate Sultanate, Qadhi Abdus Salam, wanfa’una bi barakatihi, amin.
I am returning back to student life very soon, but my house being close by in IM6, will hang around UIA whenever I am back in Kuantan.
All the best in the new semester.
