“mesti laku!” “tapi, budak2 muda remaja yg guna..” “mesti couple2 yg ske wat menatang ni..” “elok sgt le tu ckp tepon dari tgh malam sampai pagi” “12 sampai 6, 6 jam..” “average satu individu guna, 2-3 jam, atau semaksima 6jam” “pergh!menyetan dgn pompuan la satu malam..” “hmph! xsuka aku super saver ni!” “agenda menyesat umat!”

and that’s the story of mind box. and so does the married not supersaver-ing, aite?.

it’s shame, you male. to talk, with sweetness of words, scent of flirtous joke. it’s shame, to talk like that and yet you have achieved nothing more than couples of C, D and even E in your exam. wanna start talking ’bout marriage? shame on you!

and girls it’s shame, for you to sell, your body, your voice, your soul, at price of nothing! and yet you girls only have not-so-beautiful-but-not-that-ugly faces and damn-so-not-hot body! and i won’t start talking about your islamic arts of behaviour and knowledge, its enough with that de-merit points i stated.

50years already. still we are not nationalist. don’t bother to start talking on islamic-ist! colonized mind of youngsters..

heard it from my father, quoting from a scholar; “melayu menemukan makna dirinya dengan islam”

i’m not saying that adab melayu should be forgotten. (in remembrance; cik hawa mas azmar ahmad and nurul akmal che nor azeman, in issue of Malayan ethics :P) to my understanding, that phrase gives us the meaning that Malays has found it trueself by finding Islam. Some of our adab melayu is parallel with Islamic teaching, Islam strengthen our ethics. So behave in adab melayu paralleled with Islamic teaching! (read:adab melayu by Nabil Abas)

a friend, senior, female, once said to me; “we don’t have to be islamic, because we are already islam”

she’s right, don’t bother to be stupid enough to islamize and halal-ize what is unlawful and prohibited to you. yet, be the true muslim as you should be when you embrace islam.

we are born Muslim, we are, and we will.
